South East Lake View Neighbors (SELVN) is the local neighborhood organization encompassing the area bounded by Diversey, Halsted, Belmont, and the lake. All residents, associations, and businesses are welcome to join.

General Meeting Information

SELVN meets at Second Unitarian Church, 656 West Barry on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  The 2023 meeting dates are: January 9, February 13, March 13, April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11.  General meetings are open to everyone to attend. You must be a member in good standing two weeks prior to a meeting in order to participate in any votes.  PLEASE NOTE THAT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, ALL SELVN MEETINGS WILL CONTINUE TO BE VIRTUAL.

Membership

All residents, associations, and businesses within SELVN boundaries are welcome to join as members. For those who live outside the boundaries, you may join as affiliated members, which does not include voting privileges.

Community Alternative Policing (CAPS) Beat 1934 Meeting Information

The CAPS Meeting will be held at The Senior Building, 416 West Barry, every other month at 6:30 p.m.  The 2023 meeting dates are: February 22, April 26, June 28, August 23, October 25,  and December 27.
