South East Lake View Neighbors (SELVN) is the local neighborhood organization encompassing the area bounded by Diversey, Halsted, Belmont, and the lake. All residents, associations, and businesses are welcome to join.

General Meeting Information

SELVN meets on the second Monday of each month at Chabad East Lakeview, 615 West Wellington at 7:00 p.m. The 2025 meeting dates are: January 13, February 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8, October 13, November 10, and December 8.  General meetings are open to everyone to attend. You must be a member in good standing two weeks prior to a meeting in order to participate in any votes.

Membership

All residents, associations, and businesses within SELVN boundaries are welcome to join as members. For those who live outside the boundaries, you may join as affiliated members, which does not include voting privileges.

Community Alternative Policing (CAPS) Beat 1934 Meeting Information

The CAPS Meetings will be held at Chabad East Lakeview, 615 West Wellington at 6:30 p.m.  The 2025 meeting dates are:  February 19, April 16, June 18, August 20, October 15 and December 17.
