South East Lake View Neighbors (SELVN) is the local neighborhood organization encompassing the area bounded by Diversey, Halsted, Belmont, and the lake. All residents, associations, and businesses are welcome to join.

General Meeting Information

SELVN meets on the second Monday of each month at Chabad East Lakeview, 615 West Wellington at 7:00 p.m. The 2026 meeting dates are: January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, and December 14.  General meetings are open to everyone to attend. You must be a member in good standing two weeks prior to a meeting in order to participate in any votes.

Membership

All residents, associations, and businesses within SELVN boundaries are welcome to join as members. For those who live outside the boundaries, you may join as affiliated members, which does not include voting privileges.

Community Alternative Policing (CAPS) Beat 1934 Meeting Information

The CAPS Meetings will be held at Chabad East Lakeview, 615 West Wellington at 6:30 p.m.  The 2026 meeting dates are:  February 11, March 11, April 22, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, and November 11.
